From growing mosquitoes in her garage to hobnobbing with royalty

Carly Crump’s accolades include being recognized as one of the nation’s top 16 young STEM researchers by U.S. News and World Report, winning a first place at the International Science and Engineering Fair in Pittsburgh and the Florida Science Fair.

She recently spent 9 days in Sweden, presenting her project and meeting with the royal family. Her work involved growing mosquitoes to study proteins involved in the transmission of the dengue virus.
